Subway?

4 05 2010

So back to work today and I couldn’t help but notice that I haven’t eaten any fast food in a week. Not just a working week, but a full blown 7 day week. This is quite a milestone. I can’t recall the last time I have gone this long without so much as a subway cookie, chocolate donut or my beloved Mars bars. Though I must confess… late in the evenings I have had 1 or 2 tiny teddys and one night I am ashamed to say, I snuck 2 of Alexanders freddos.

As far as the withdrawals are going, with a few suggestions from Fiona I am now having a Pepsi can during the day and some sugar on my corn flakes in the morning, the sugar withdrawals were way to harsh to drop it completely cold turkey. I really didn’t relise how much of a sugar junkie I really was until I stopped.

This is good! I feel alot stronger and more committed, seeing as now I have a full week under my belt. The subway was the major concern, being right next door I frequented way too often, even before working next door to one I have struggled with Subway addiction since as early as 2003 (I think?) when I was introduced to it by Devans. Before this I dismissed Subway as being a waste of money, because, why would I pay all that money for a sandwich when I can make one at home!? I should have kept with that, but instead I have invested many thousands of dollars into that business over the years and I don’t even have any shares… fail.
